About the Project

Dyslexia Helper was built as a CSCE 490 Capstone project at the University of South Carolina. Our goal was to create a genuinely useful accessibility tool that helps people with dyslexia, ADHD, and other reading difficulties navigate the web more comfortably.

The extension works entirely in your browser — no account, no data collection, no subscription. Everything from font changes to keybindings is saved locally in Chrome's storage and applied instantly to any page you visit.

We built it with React, TypeScript, and Vite, packaged as a Manifest V3 Chrome Extension. The source code is publicly available on GitHub.
